Why did my video not qualify?

Most common reasons your video did not qualify:

  • No call to action in video. A call to action is any text or words that prompt an immediate response from your viewer (ex. Quit Now!).

  • Lack of accurate facts. Sometimes when relay information, we can cut out some important bits. Make sure you are sharing the entire fact and not a section of it.

  • Your music is not royalty free or you did not provide information on where your music came from. Royalty-free means the right to use copyrighted material without paying royalties or license fees for each use. Royalty-free material can include music, images, or videos.

  • Inappropriate content such as: profane language, violent acts, threatening message, sexually explicit, illegal, offense or harassing messaging. Your video must be appropriate for a general audience, including small children. Avoid the use of acted out medical emergencies.

  • Including people who are not part of the submission group. Only members listed in your submission form that have also submitted their permission forms are able to be in your video. No teachers, adults or background students should be shown.

  • Video Length is over 32 seconds. Videos that go over that time frame will be disqualified.

  • Logos, location signage, photographs, artwork or sculptures are shown in video. Copyright infringement occurs when someone uses a copyrighted work without the copyright owner's permission.
